Chuck Owenby
for Sheriff
Where
Experience,
Integrity,
and
Leadership Matter
I have 3 key principles; experience, integrity, and leadership that I bring to this election and that would carry over into my role as Sheriff.
Experience - I began my career in law enforcement with the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office in 2002. I intend to work hard to preserve the legacy of the great leaders that have come before me. Throughout my career, I have served in many different roles at the Sheriff's Office. My jobs have included patrol officer, school resource officer and shift sergeant. Since 2017 I have served in my current role as Lieutenant of Professional Standards & Training.
Integrity - I have always had strong moral and ethical convictions and strive to do the right thing in all circumstances. I have consistently treated all people with the dignity and respect they deserve. I will bring high integrity into this election process and will remain true to myself and the people that I serve in this county. I vow to uphold a high standard of honesty and fairness in both my professional and personal endeavors.
Leadership - I have held many positions that have allowed me to use and improve my
leadership skills. I was the sergeant on my patrol shift, assistant team leader on the Special Response Team, and am the Field Training Coordinator. In my current position I am responsible for all in-service training, internal affairs and background checks for new hires for the department. Also, I serve on many local boards and committees and work closely with members of the community for the betterment of Transylvania County.
As the Sheriff I would work for you! I want to hear from the people of Transylvania County. What are your expectations, concerns, and ideas?
I promise to work tirelessly to ensure that Transylvania County remains a place that people are proud to call home.
I would be honored to have your support and your vote in the upcoming primary election in Transylvania County on May 17th.
